A snapshot of our embarked Puma flight in action from RNAS Culdrose's 700X Naval Air Squadron on HMS Trent. This is the first time drones have operated from the Royal Navy's new offshore patrol vessels on an overseas deployment. HMS Trent is currently deployed off the west coast of Africa to provide training and security to the region. The US is sending Switchblade 600 kamikaze drones to Ukraine as part of a new $300 million military aid package. Kyiv will also get a small tactical drone, the Puma, which can work together with the loitering munitions as hunter-killer teams. The Switchblade 600 can fly 40 km, 'loiter' above a target for 40 minutes before flying into them at 185 kph.
