Sonoran Gopher Snake (Pituophis catenifer affinis) was a really neat species to find out on the crawl after a good rain! These snakes are like the western pine snakes of the US to me, even being in the same genus of course! This was the last Pine Snake (Pituophis melanoleucus) I’ve seen in the wild almost 2 years ago. These snakes are hard to come across being highly fossorial living most of their life underground.
