Northern snakeheads, labeled “voracious predators” by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC), are invading Philly-area waters. They feast on native fish, and are seen as such an environmental threat that it is illegal to transport them live in the state. A collaborative study led by PFBC hopes to better understand the ramifications of their invasion.
