Dance, dance, dance their paws, paws, paws above their head. 🙆‍♂️ Just like Wednesday Addams, wombats are solitary beings. But they can put up with others in their burrow if they must. Although they don’t have visions of the future, they do have cubed poo, which is cool too. 💩 We're thinking Wombat Wednesday could be the next big TV series. Another wombat treated for mange early this morning. We suspect it’s Stu, a wombat treated once last year before he disappeared. One dose Bravecto is not enough so it’s starting from scratch again and hopefully we can give him two follow up doses. Lucky for him he has most of the fur on his back but his front legs and torso is covered in thick plaques If you want to support us in helping them please do. Canberra-based wombat rescuer Yolandi Vermaark of Wombat Rescue is on the frontline of fighting mange in wombats. Here, Australian Geographic follows her on one of her typical weekends, which involves looking for joeys in roadkill and treating a small population of wombats with cydectin that helps get rid of mange.
