Boston Red Sox manager Alex Cora told the media pregame that rookie infielder Marcelo Mayer is a “stud” defensively, and that the 22-year-old could probably play first base if the team asked him to.

While both hit lefties well at Triple A, only Anthony is continuing that success in the majors.
