An official in Fulton County, Georgia, has announced the county will challenge the legality of the FBI’s search and seizure of 2020 election records.

By Kanishka Singh WASHINGTON, Feb 2 (Reuters) - U.S. Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard said on Monday she was present at last week's FBI raid on an election facility in Georgia at the request of President Donald Trump and that her attendance was within her authority.

County officials said the FBI seized original 2020 voting records Wednesday.

Fulton County plans to ask a court to force the Trump administration to return Georgia ballots seized in a probe tied to the 2020 election.

The FBI previously said that the raid was related to the 2020 election and President Trump’s claims about voter fraud and that the FBI is there to take custody of Fulton County’s election ballots.

Fulton County leaders are planning to fight back after the FBI issued a search warrant at the elections office last week. FBI agents raided the Fulton County Elections Hub and Operations Center in Union City on Wednesday,
