Three members of the arson and explosives unit of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department have been killed in a blast at the department’s training facility.
Andres Felipe Pineda Mogollon was one of four detainees who escaped from Delaney Hall Detention Facility in Newark on June 12, according to the FBI. He was arrested after a traffic stop in Silver Lake, the FBI in Los Angeles said Thursday. No additional details on his capture were released.
"FBI has issued a $50,000 award for information leading to the conviction of an Unknown Subject who appeared to fire a pistol at Federal Law Enforcement Officers near Camarillo," U.S.Attorney Bill Essayli wrote in a post to X last week. "The shooting occurred on 7/10/25 at approximately 2:26pm on Laguna Rd between Wood Rd and Las Posas Rd."
Andres Felipe Pineda-Mogollon, 25, originally from Colombia, escaped from Delaney Hall during unrest at the detention facility on June 12 along with three others who have since been apprehended. No other information about Pineda-Mogollon’s arrest was released by the FBI.
