Stranger Things season 5 is almost here, and fans are buzzing with theories about Eddie Munson’s possible return. What secrets does the final chapter hold?

Metallica and the Eddie Munson character might be out of the picture in the fifth and final season of “Stranger Things,” but judging by the show’s latest trailer, released today, heavy metal most definitely is not.

The new season of Stranger Things will roll out in three parts. Stranger Things Season 5 Volume 1 (Episodes 1-4) will hit Netflix on Thanksgiving Day 2025, aka Thursday, November 26. Stranger Things Season 5 Volume 2 (Episodes 5-7) will come out on Christmas Day, aka December 25. The final episode of Stranger Things debuts on New Year’s Eve.

So, following his death in season 4, Eddie's presence is still massively felt in the teaser for season 5. Some fans have wondered if this could point to a resurrection for Eddie and, considering this is very possible in Dungeons & Dragons lore, it's not out of the question.
