Prince Harry took the stage at the Invictus Games closing ceremony, delivering emotional remarks to the athletes who competed in Vancouver and Whistler.

Prince Harry had a Royal Family reunion on Saturday, Feb. 15, when he was joined by Prince Joachim and Princess Marie of Denmark at an Invictus Games event. However, the Duke of Sussex reportedly faced a security threat while attending a sitting volleyball game at the Vancouver Convention Centre.

The UK military member, who participated in indoor rowing, alpine skier, novice skeleton and wheelchair basketball at the Games, gushed over the “fantastic” event. He added that Harry’s ability to bring “nations together” and allow people to “put politics aside for 10 days” is “just a fantastic, fantastic opportunity.”

King Charles discussed sports tournaments - including the Invictus Games - just days after the 2025 competition ended in Canada. The King's youngest son, Prince Harry, 40, founded the Invictus Games in 2014 for injured and sick servicemen and women as well as veterans to give them a chance to compete in adaptive sports.
