With quarterbacks dropping out in the AFC, the NFL landed on asking Jets QB Justin Fields to participant. According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Fields binned it off as he was eventually invited:
Jets coach Aaron Glenn needs a replacement for Justin Fields urgently to rebuild the team's offense. However, the team is prioritizing defense in a weak quarterback class, according to the latest mock draft of ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr.
Jets quarterback Justin Fields was reportedly invited to the 2026 Pro Bowl, but he declined the invitation to work in the offseason.
Fans are not happy.
It seems the NFL cast a wide net in its search for replacement quarterbacks for the Pro Bowl Games.
The New York Jets are currently set to spend a quarter of their 2026 salary cap on three departed players and one who might be leaving the franchise this offseason.
But, based on this report from Cimini, the Jets' plan at quarterback won't be a simple one. It will entail the team adding two QBs, one in free agency and one in the NFL Draft, to help replace Fields after the $40 million experiment failed in 2025.
The New York Jets quarterback will be interesting to follow over the next few months.
If it wasn't already clear before this year, the Pro Bowl Games needs to disappear.
