The Saints added to their receiver room ahead of the regular-season opener Wednesday, acquiring Devaughn Vele in a trade with the Broncos, who received two future draft picks in return.

On Wednesday afternoon, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football was the first to report that the Saints have agreed to a trade to acquire wide receiver Devaughn Vele from the Denver Broncos.

Vele, with 55 targets, had the fourth-best receiving success rate in that group (63.6), trailing only Tee Higgins (64.2), Amon-Ra St. Brown (70.2), and Chris Godwin (72.6).
