A new wildfire was reported today at 9:16 a.m. in Los Angeles County, California. The wildfire has been burning on private land. At this time, there is no information on the containment of the fire and the cause of it remains undetermined.
A check from California’s largest property insurer, which says it has paid billions of dollars in claims from the LA-area fires, has taken more than a week to clear so far.
Video shows the man pouring what looks to be an accelerant on the wall of the business before setting it ablaze early Tuesday morning.
Note that full containment doesn't mean the fire is completely out. In this case, it means that firefighters have managed to get a line completely around the wildfire's perimeter and it is now stopped from spreading. A fully contained wildfire may continue to burn within the containment perimeter but is not likely to spread.
