Jannik Sinner had three consecutive match points in the fourth set of the French Open final before Carlos Alcaraz prevailed in a five-hour, twenty-nine-minute thriller, widely regarded as one of the greatest major finals ever.

In his victory speech, Sinner addressed his redemption arc against Alcaraz. He mentioned how emotionally tough it was to go all the way at Wimbledon after his rival handed him the most devastating loss of his young career only a month earlier. Lesser competitors may have let Alcaraz get in their heads again.
