ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) – After a rainy Saturday and cloudy Sunday, this Memorial Day has shaped up to be a great one, with sunny afternoon skies and temperatures returning to the low 70s. We see a temperature jump Tuesday.

Winds present fire weather concerns until they settle down later in the week.  Storms will begin moving out of the area later on Thursday but the valley could see some rain on Wednesday and Thursday (20 percent chance) before this happens.

Thursday in Houston kicks off a stretch of drier, less active weather in Southeast Texas, at least until early next week, according to the National Weather Service.
