Retired NBA champion and former Los Angeles Laker Elden Campbell died in an accidental drowning, Florida officials have ruled.

Elden Campbell, long-time NBA center best known for anchoring the paint for the L.A. Lakers throughout the 1990s, passed away earlier this week while on a family fishing trip.

He was the highest points score for the Lakers in the 1990s and was also highly-regarded for his shot-blocking ability.
