A prescribed 372-acre burn will temporarily close the Max Patch Short Loop and portions of the Appalachian Trail and Buckeye Ridge Horse Trail.
The Pisgah National Forest will be conducting a prescribed burn on March 6 in the Max Patch area of Madison County.
