After John Cena retired in late 2025 and AJ Styles in early 2026, CM Punk recently answered the questions surrounding his possible retirement timeline. Appearing on No Contest Wrestling with TJ Henderson and O’Shay Jackson Jr, Punk opened up and claimed that he does not plan to retire “anytime soon.”
WWE confirmed CM Punk will not compete at the 2026 Royal Rumble and will appear on the Countdown show as the event begins the road to WrestleMania 42. On the kickoff show, Michael Cole said CM Punk’s status for the WWE Royal Rumble 2026 is studio duty alongside Wade Barrett and Big E.
In the past, CM Punk has dated a litany of female wrestling stars before finally settling down and marrying former Divas Champion AJ Lee in 2014.
In 2014, CM Punk walked out of WWE before returning almost a decade later at the 2023 Survivor Series: WarGames, which he recently revealed having no regrets about.
