The Bears stadium megaproject plan died Saturday but other attempts at a path to an Arlington Heights project with Chicago involved are reportedly possible.

The NFL's stadium committee has scheduled a meeting with Chicago Bears brass during the week of April 27 to hear the latest developments regarding the team's two proposed sites for a new stadium -- Arlington Heights, Illinois, and Hammond, Indiana.

The Chicago Bears have got to move out of Soldier Field, period. For starters, the play in a city that sees some of the harshest winters in the country, and the stadium has no dome to protect the players.
