Aryna Sabalenka completed a hard-fought comeback against Laura Siegmund to avoid elimination and move on to the semifinals at Wimbledon. The pair met at center court on Tuesday morning as Siegmund looked for another upset win after eliminating Madison Keys in the third round.

Less than 24 hours after ATP No. 1 Jannik Sinner found himself in trouble on Centre Court before he was saved by his opponent’s sudden injury retirement, the world’s best WTA player avoided an upset and won five of the last games to seal a 4-6 6-2 6-4 victory despite becoming frustrated and whacking the net with her racket.

Wimbledon 2025 has had its moments of drama. Aryna Sabaleka, the world's #1 tennis player, helped deliver her share of it, when she won in a tense match against German Laura Siegemund, Sabalenka said after the match that she thought she was going to lose after the first set.
