Bundesliga champion Bayern Munich has been handed a difficult first game of its title defense as it hosts RB Leipzig on Friday.

Bayern Munich was busy over the summer. The club traveled to the United States for an eight-figure payout in the FIFA Club World Cup, won three friendlies, and earned a trophy in the inaugural Franz Beckenbauer Supercup. Bayern has not lost a season opener since 2011 and look to extend that streak at home against RB Leipzig.

The Bundesliga returns on Friday evening when Bayern Munich host RB Leipzig, and while games from the German top flight will be 'free to-air' on UK TV and YouTube, fans will still need a TV licence
