Manchester United have started their run of pre-season friendlies with a goallesss draw with Leeds United in Sweden’s national stadium. Matheus Cunha, their £62.5m summer signing from Wolves, offered glimpses of his class in one of the twin No 10 roles but played only the first half of a match in which 47 players were used.
The England international was absent from Saturday’s friendly vs Manchester United in Stockholm and Farke revealed his decision post-match.
Plenty of Leeds fans on social media gave their thoughts on each of their players, with one debutant in particular getting plenty of praise. Bijol played the first half for Leeds, and he delivered a solid display which led to Whites fans backing him to do well in the Premier League.
