Polls say Ciattarelli and Mikie Sherrill are in for a tight race as New Jerseyans prepare to elect their next governor.

Republican gubernatorial candidate Jack Ciattarelli received a surprise special guest at his rally in Passaic County on Monday: his son, Jake, who is serving in the U.S. Army and is stationed in Kuwait.

Ciattarelli and Sherrill have also spent time campaigning in South Jersey, an area that saw voters in Gloucester, Cumberland and Atlantic counties overwhelmingly back Murphy in 2017. However, they swung heavily toward Ciattarelli four years later.
