The Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans are joining forces to donate $1.5 million toward flood relief across storm-ravaged Texas communities.

The NFL announced the contributions in a social media post on Sunday, two days after a deluge of floodwaters devastated Kerr County and other areas near San Antonio. The catastrophic flooding that tossed vehicles sideways and ripped homes out of their foundations left at least 100 people dead as of Tuesday.

"Amid so much sorrow, we are inspired by the strength of the Texas community as it comes together during this incredibly difficult time," the group said.
