Hoda Kotb has been a co-anchor on Today with Savannah Guthrie since 2018, but the 2025 TV schedule will officially go on without her. Since Kotb announced her exit in September, the question high on the minds of viewers (and surely the network) has been regarding who would be her replacement.

In September, fans of The Today Show heard the sad news that Hoda Kotb would be leaving the popular talk show and now, her official replacement has been announced. Of course, nobody can ever completely replace a fan favorite.

Two months after the 60-year-old broadcaster announced she was leaving the NBC morning show, her replacement has been revealed.

It looks like Craig Melvin‘s new job on The Today Show will be coming with a hefty raise. NBC announced this week that Melvin will be replacing Hoda Kotb as the lead co-anchor on the first hour of Today when she retires in January 2025.

Craig Melvin, 45, will be taking over for “Today” anchor Hoda Kotb when she steps down. The move will give him a big salary bump, as Us Weekly reports that he’ll make about $5 million to $6 million in his new role.
